Lee Garverick, Principal
Lee Garverick is an expert in the art of getting ideas off
the white board and into production. She
brings over fifteen years of technology marketing experience and a proven track
record of success. She is passionate about quality and putting the customer first.
Prior
to founding Garverick Technology Marketing, her most recent position was the
Director of Marketing at The Groupery, a Web 2.0 startup focused on volunteer
oriented groups. At The Groupery, Lee grew
the business from a series of use cases and an alpha product, through Beta and
ultimately to a well targeted and solid v1 product, a burgeoning array of
online communities, and a demonstrated business model.
In her formative years she worked with Hewlett-Packard, Metaphor and
Taligent. She held increasingly responsible positions in every dimension of marketing including managing
developer partnership teams, product management, product marketing, developer
and field training, technical support and documentation.
She began her career as a computer game author and coder for a startup called Advanced Ideas. She has a BS in Computer Science from UC Davis.
Lee is an active community volunteer. She is an online community manager for Bullis Charter School, a thriving group with over 800 members. She has led several local
efforts for schools, once as a key leader of a campaign that raised $1.5M in
emergency funds via donations from over 1000 families in one month. She helped launch a charter school. She lives in Los Altos Hills with her husband Tim and three children.
